One sunny day in 2005, an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench.
He spoke to the Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry."
The Marine replied, "Sir, Mr. Kerry is not President and doesn't reside here."
The old man said, "Okay," and walked away.
The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry"
The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Kerry is not President and doesn't reside here."
The man thanked him and again walked away. The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke
to the very same Marine, saying "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry."
The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Kerry. I've told you already that Mr. Kerry is not
the President and doesn't reside here. Don't you understand?"
The old man answered, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."
The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow".

Ok, I know this is kind of lame, but it's still at least a little cool to me. I'm updating my livejournal using a text only browser. Which means ... there's no pictures and .. it's basicaly like a cmd prompt. Go UNIX flavored things. The thing's called 'Lynx' by the way for anyone who's interested in trying it out.

In other news, one of the librarians couldn't find the FTP password to change the Media Center Website. Boo. But then the other one found it. Horrah. Then she GAVE ME THE LOGIN INFORMATION FOR THE ENTIRE CVUSD'S FTP SERVER. That's right. I know the password for the CVUSD FTP server. I gave her the paper back, but not before I jotted down the password. The way it's set up is WHS has it's own folder on the www.conejo.k12.ca.us website so when you go to http://www.conejo.k12.ca.us/whs_lib/ it brings up the index.htm page. So .. anyways I can change files for basicaly every school in the CVUSD. But I won't. I just think it's incredibly funny how she just matter-of-factly handed me the most powerful password I have ever held in my hands in my entire life.
I thought about uploading all the files and fixing up the website for the Meida Center from my house, but then I figured it'd probably be a really bad idea. That didn't stop me from running my connection through a proxy to mask my IP address and then loging into the CVUSD FTP server just to see if the login worked, though. It did. YES. The password only has letters. Pathetic. I will crush them. Oh wait .. no I won't. I'm the webmaster. I'm pretty happy where I am for the time being.

Guess what I found while I was home sick today:
That, my friends, is the one and only Pradeep Ramesh. I found his picture when I did a goole image search of "Pradeep Ramesh". I like how when you search my name you don't find a picture of me. I also found a 'poem' he wrote in Mrs. Caruso's webdesign class. It was on google, again, while searching for "Pradeep Ramesh". I archived the page here because it was in Google's cache and I wasn't sure how much longer it'd stay there.

well, I'm home sick today and I don't like it one bit. I miss Spanish and English. Missing a day of Spanish is like a day without my pops. Oh wait .. I mean missing a day of Spanish is hard because when we learn more verbes and grammar I miss it and I'm behind. And English we're having an Antigone vocab quiz which really sucks because now I'll have to make it up. Crap.
But, I did get a "Get well soon" card.

I have reason to believe I'm coming down with West Nile Feaver. I've got basicaly all but one of the symptoms. Let's see; fever, headache, tiredness, body aches, swolen lymph glands. Everything except for a skin rash on the 'trunk' of my body. Yeah .. I'm pretty much screwed. Oh wait .. aren't those the same symptoms of the flu? Crap .. oh well. No exotic diseases for me I guess.
I get Chinese cough drops tomorrow though. Awesome-sause.

Well, it looks like I'm coming down with bronchitis. I sound all weird and stuff and I can't breathe and I keep coughing. It sucks, but I'm forcing myself to go to school. It's better to not miss a day or two in my situation. So ... I guess I'll just have to suck it up. Heh. Just avoid me at school and whenever I walk by point at me and say "He's gotsts the PLAUGE!!!"

Oh yes my friends .. I feel like I've died and gone to Linux heaven.
I got Apache 2.0 running on my Windows/Linux box so now my hosted page (this one) is more secure then if it were served on just plain Windows. We all know the dangers of Windows, right?

You know what really drives me crazy? When people make the scroll bars on their xanga/livejournal all one color. The track, the face, the sides, the arrows. How do you know where the thing to grab is then? You don't! You're left fumbling your way around litterally in the dark wondering what's going on.

I proposed my idea for the school media center webpage today and they loved it so much they paid me fifty thousand doll-- oh wait. I mean they made me school WEB MASTER. How many 10th grade amateurs do you see becoming school webmasters?
The lady almost had a heart attack when I told her that I hard-coded the page in nothing more then notepad in my spare time, and the fact that I've never set foot in a webdesign class. Yeah, they looked at my HTML code and the previous "genius's" HTML code and it proves that I am clearly the superior genius.
OWNED.
